We have been working with Newman Gauge across a number of our brands for many years, and the challenge to create a new pub offering for Leeds that offers value for money yet appeals to a wide range of consumers was quite an ask, and we are rather pleased with the end result, and so are our guests.

The Black Prince, in the first month is trading above predicted sales targets and we are extremely pleased with the new offering for Leeds and glad it’s part of the Mitchells and Butlers Heartlands family. The ‘zonal areas’ provide subtle guest diversification and allow the pub to be all the things to all people – a rather clever interior design layout from Newman Gauge allowing us to reach mass markets and maximise sales potential across both food and drink sales.
